UN Global Action Days
The Millennium Education Annual Activity Calendar clearly highlights and celebrates the UN action days at our schools. Special arrangement and presentations are made during morning assemblies and the school environment is transformed into a make belief environment to support the action day through art, activity, engagement and creativity.
Millennium students are being taught that United Nations observances contribute to the achievement of the purposes of the UN Charter and promote awareness of and action on important political, social, cultural, humanitarian or human rights issues. They provide useful means for the promotion of international and national action and stimulate interest in United Nations activities and programmes.
Morning Assemblies
Morning Assemblies are a powerful means to begin the day at the school in a more energetic and euphoric manner. It is important for both students and teachers to start their day smoothly. Morning assemblies at Millennium Education are well planned and carefully conducted. They also act as a channel to release information related to school life and the World around. UN Action Days and Sustainable Development Goals and National Days form an integral part of TME assemblies where students give presentations and perform on various topics.
Road Safety Campaigns
To ensure that students receive road safety education, The Millennium Education initiated a Road Safety Education Program across its various campuses nationwide. The students were trained on the various aspects of Road Safety through the Active Learning Method which was instructor-led and involved role plays, skits, discussion poster, and case studies.
Drama Festivals
Extra Curricular Activities and Beyond The Classroom Learning Initiative of Roots Millennium schools Drama Festivals held under the Millennium Dramatics and Art Club everywhere to instill the art of drama and expression in our learners. Students participate in role plays and skits and get a chance to develop their artistic skills. Through the Drama Festivals, leaners are encouraged to think and act creatively, thus developing critical thinking and problem – solving skills that can be applied in all areas of learning.
School and College Elections and Oath Taking Ceremonies
One of the primary functions of The Millennium Education is to train the next generation of leaders. One of the most important steps for doing this is focusing more on fulfilling Millennium School’s civic mission. We make our students and faculty understand that civic engagement is an essential part of the learning experience, and not an optional extracurricular interest. School and College Elections and Oath Taking Ceremonies are held at the start of every academic year. The student council elections provide a platform for the students to learn how to maintain discipline and carry out electoral process in an organized fashion. Students participate enthusiastically and run their election campaigns for different positions like Head Boy, Head Girl , House Captains and Club Presidents. We also provide easy virtual tips to all learners from grade I till A level take part in school elections and are given the right to vote and elect. Student Body Oath taking Ceremonies are held where learners take formal oaths and made to realize the responsibility they have on their shoulders. The Millennium Student Body comprises of Head boy/ Girl, Deputy Head boy/ Deputy Head Girl/ Club Presidents/ Vice Presidents/ Class Proctors/ Volunteers and Student Council members. All members of the Student Council lead all student activities and support the school administration.
School Innovative Campaigns
The Millennium Education has launched different education and innovative campaigns like Bird Awareness School Campaign, Oral Health Awareness Campaign, Road Safety Campaign and Books on Wheels. TME is conscious that children and the youth are our first and foremost stakeholders for a sustainable future. Every child’s life is precious and it is the duty of all adults to protect children and keep them safe.
Truck Art
The Millennium Education launched Truck Art Campaign to create awareness about the decorative Truck Art among our students. Many trucks and buses in Pakistan are highly customized and decorated by their owners. These adorned vehicles are considered as moving art, or jingle art. Because of their unique decor style, these vehicles are quite distinct in layout from other trucks around the world. Each part of the vehicle is decorated differently, with variations depending on the regional style. The artist embellishes each truck according to the particular tastes of the driver. The sides of the truck depict different scenes through their adorned artwork and may include metal “decoration pieces” which draw additional attention to the vehicle. The exterior of the trucks are often adorned with poetry. They are our pictorial display of our culture and traditions. To promote the wonderful traditional truck art this activity has been designed to create awareness among students about the efforts and expertise of our labors. All teachers streamlined the activity for learners.The Booklet was shared with all students across TME and art Material was arranged before hand. Teachers also prepared ‘General Knowledge’ questions from the content provided and Truck Art history included in the booklet. At TME we aim to promote our culture through such activities.
Books on Wheels
We are committed to assuring the learning of our student’s through Connecting Classrooms/Learning Management System. Moving one step ahead to ensure the academic continuity and best utilization of this time by millennials, we have launched the, “TME Mobile Library”.
Mobile Library is the initiative of TME Reading and Library Programme to promote the development of independent learning, skills and foster the love and enjoyment of reading at home. Its aim is to present your children with books at your doorstep while we are going through this unprecedented global crisis. It will not only inculcate the habit of reading but will also enhance their knowledge. It will assist in accelerating their learning and enable them to access a new level of knowledge and boost their confidence and self-belief.
Bake Sale Activities
Bake Sale Activities are held every year in TME schools where learners take part in fund raising activities for different organizations. The Bake Sales are a great way to instill empathy in our learners and make them realise the importance of giving back to the society.
The Birds of Pakistan
The Millennium Education launched an educational and innovative campaign about “The Birds of Pakistan’ to boost up pupil’s knowledge and to develop the horizons of information for the years to come. Birds are not only one of the most successful eye-catching groups in the animal kingdom but they also hold the key to our understanding of the natural world. Millennium Education has sustained its tradition of taking initiative for developing social and environmental awareness among its students.
Millennium Schools Oral Health Awareness Campaign
Oral health is an indicator of General health. The importance of Dental hygiene is most importantly instilled during childhood. This was the theme of Millennium Education Oral Health Awareness Campaign. It aimed towards providing basic information on tooth health which will help develop in the children, appropriate to their age and experience, a sense of competence and responsibility for keeping their teeth clean and healthy. Oral health conditions are proven to be the number one chronic disease among children. School, being the most apt arena for inculcation of oral hygiene, can play a critical role in preventing dental problems, 80 percent of which are preventable because they are rooted in share neglect of oral hygiene. Every year Oral Health Workers are invited to school and free Dental Camps are set.
Milk matters for Kids
“Milk matters for Kids” is another beyond the classroom initiative at TME. It is without doubt that milk is an important component of our diet. The importance of milk is most effectively encouraged during childhood. Millennium Schools took this initiative to hold a program beyond the classrooms based on Milk Genomics & Human Health. Activities based on importance of milk were specifically planned for different grades. TME has initiated join awareness campaigns with the world renowned development sector organization to equip the children with knowledge and care for the environment.
Millennial Model United Nations
Every year Millennium Model United Nations is held in different school and college of Millennium Education. MMUN is a platform where students learn to engage through meaningful dialoge regarding significant global and local issues and eventually form practical solutions to overcome them. The yearly event is an amalgamation of different cultures, mind set and delegates who travel nationwide to win a memorable experience. Renowned Intellectuals are invited every year to be part of the Diplomatic and Debating Moots.
Millennial Olympiads
Olympiads are globally acknowledged to play a pivotal role in aspiring the youth to go beyond the boundaries of classroom learning as well as allowing them to assimilate knowledge and innovation into a single unit. Such competitions are not only test an individual’s thinking skills but also test an individual’s thinking skills but also test the ability to blend in with a group of people with diversified interests and social backgrounds. Millennial Olympiads are 3 days mega events held annually in different cities with thousands of students participating in different activities.
School Educational Trips
Physical activities are necessary for a child’s wellbeing and growth. Outdoor Educational trips are planned every year for students from Early Years to A levels. Depending on the grade level students are taken to Katas Raj Temples, Wagah Border, Khwera Salt Mines, British Era Golra Museum, NathiaGali Trails for Hiking, Hiking Trips, Northern Areas of Pakistan and Taxila Museum. These Educational Trips are a great means to develop students’ team building skills and contribute to sound mental and emotional health as well.
Mehfil e Milad (PBUH)
The Millennium Education holds Milad in righteousness of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) every year on a large scale inviting students and parents. A large number of students attend the event every year and thus promoting Islamic teachings in a blessed way. Millennials recite different Naats which depict their love and extreme devotion towards our Holy Prophet (PBUH)
