CAS Activities

The rationale of the project was to create awareness internally within campus for inculcation of mannerism, ethics and logic that paper and plastic waste should be separated. IB DP students visited each classroom and spread the word. Each dustbin located on floors were added with two more dustbins with name of Plastic and Paper bin to effectively utilize it for recycling and practically bring waste management into practice.

“Nothing you do for children is ever wasted” -Garrison Keillor Roots Millennium Flagship Campus IBDP students & CAS society members went to Army Special Education Academy and interacted with children with special educational needs (SEN) on 19th October 2017. October is celebrated as Down Syndrome Awareness Month. This month is about celebrating abilities and make people aware of unique strengths and accomplishments of people with Down’s syndrome despite their special needsOur students of IBDP & CAS Society interacted with the special children and did painting, music, dance, and tug of war and had a day spent to be cherished for life.

The Creativity, Activity and Service Society celebrated the International Day for Tolerance on November 16th 2017 @ Roots Millennium Flagship Campus.  The International Day for Tolerance is observed throughout the globe, fostering mutual understanding among cultures and people. Tolerance is more important than ever in this era of rising violent extremism and widening conflicts that are characterized by a fundamental disregard for human life.  Together we all can reduce negative perceptions and attitudes towards different cultures, migrants, refugees, countries, religions and communities.

Food Festival organized by CAS society and IBDP students on 22 November 2017, focused to raise funding for a charitable cause. It was a student led initiative in which they sold the edible items. The fund was submitted to Master Ayub School for imparting education.    

Visit to Master Ayub and donations through fund raising by Bake Sale. Gesture of compassion, sharing of activity work sheets, distribution of goodie bags for students and educators’ interaction was an attempt to bridge the existential income disparity gap. Providing a great learning opportunity for CAS society and IBDP students to enhance their skill & work for community & societal uplift.

Education is one of the most powerful and proven vehicles for sustainable development. RMS Creativity, Activity & Services (CAS) society in collaboration with. The citizen foundation (TCF) participated in Bake sale at Pofwa bazaar on Sunday, 3rd Dec 2017. TCF is a professionally managed, non- profit organization set up in 1995 to bring about positive social change through education. Roots Millennium Flagship Campus students raised Rs. 21,350 for TCF Educate-a-child to cover all costs to provide a quality educational experience for an underprivileged child.

IB DP students arranged a food drive creating a local impact of the issue that has global significance. Food drive was linked to Millennium Development Goal of reducing and eradicating poverty with also promoting sense of empathy, compassion, zeal, brotherhood and unity.

Students of IB DP Roots Millennium Schools conducted awareness campaign for the issues that concern with obesity. For this as a unified group conducted hiking and spread awareness for a cause.
