I’ve been a Millennial since 6th grade so I have been familiar to the millennial system more than my other class fellows who joined more recently in A Level. Sir Faisal’s ceremonial talks, Ma’am Muneeze’s academic speeches, Ma’am Aliya and Ma’am Rozina running after us for mocks and results are just the norms of what a Millennial must show in their Roots memorabilia.
From day one, RMC gave me access to a vast palette of opportunities along with the necessary guidance to take full advantage of them. It taught me to take risks and to explore, to step out of my comfort zone. From interning at the National Institute Oceanography to travelling to Japan, it did what had been promised, it built up my portfolio. Being a part of this institution, I have realized how true and befitting the slogan, ‘Millennial dreams come true’, is to RMC. A huge Thank You to Sir Faisal Mushtaq for bringing this amazing legacy to Karachi. I cannot be a prouder member of the first graduating class of RMC Karachi.
From my experience of university applications, I now hold the view that an acceptance is not a result of an individual effort; instead it is manifestation of all the selfless contributions of people around you. I am grateful to Sir Faisal for bringing to me the best possible teachers, resources, and atmospheres. I hope that the millennial legacy of success continues!
If ever asked ‘why Roots?’, my reply would be ‘um the air conditioning in BMI was really bad’. But now with two years over the table there is so much more that I can say. Going up USG to SG the MMUN was truly an experience that nurtured my talents to the utmost extent, and I will truly miss the ordeal. But what it all comes down to is the end of AS where I stood utterly clueless and with no direction whatsoever. So the counsellors office is where I went to seek sense and I found so much more. Sir Faisal who has been personally guiding me since the start has equally celebrated all my successes. You’ve truly created a brilliant system sir and I am honoured to have been a part of it.
Roots has shaped me into the person I am today, and I would not for one moment change one second of the last seven years. I’m proud to be a part of the Millennium family and a huge thanks to the CEO Sir Faisal Mushtaq, my principal Ma’am Muneeze Muzaffar and my coordinator Ma’am Rozina Asif who were there by my side to support me through the journey to become successful and set me up for many years to come.
“Roots isn’t what you think it is, Shaheer” was something I’d heard countless times to the point that my ears wanted no more. The decision to join roots was a risk. You know what they say about risks (I don’t). This place has been a whirlwind of emotions. I’ll remember all the shenanigans I’ve done with my peers to all the tedious hours spent with Sir Feroze and even the small spurts of laughter with my teachers. Agreed, Roots is not what you think it is.

People at Millennium College have been the greatest motivation while pulling me through this year and I wish them the best of luck for part of the student body as the alive and have changed me for the better in so many ways. They have taught me how to be compassionate and optimistic, to open, and share things I had never dared tell someone else before, pushing me to try new things and test my limits, see the bright side in everything. They have seen and guided me through my worst days and celebrated with me on my best ones, loving me endlessly and unconditionally through all of this. I’ll cherish the countless memories that I have made with them, I’ll miss them the most and I wish them the best of luck for their future.
My last two years have been filled with life-changing experiences. I have evolved into the person I am today by the challenges I have faced, the milestones I achieved, and the relationships I made. Class of 2019, it’s been a privilege spending these last years with you. word of advice. I would like to thank Sir Faisal, Ma’am Rozina, Ma’am Aliya, and Sir Farhan for their endless support.
I am blessed to have been admitted into Jacobs and to give myself credit solely for that would be a false attribution I would be making because every person that I have encountered in Roots has shaped me and made my path to this journey more realizable. I cannot thank enough for Sir Farhan whose level of having the patience and faith in us was truly remarkable. Thank you, Sir Faisal, for making the dreams of each of us possible.
