Young Scientists Compete for Opportunity to Represent Pakistan at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair 2023
PAKISTAN, Karachi, 25 January 2023 – The Millennium Education and Millennium Institute of Technology and Entrepreneurship MiTE with support from NSEF team concluded the National Science Fair in the run-up to the Intel® International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel® ISEF), one of the world’s largest pre-college science competitions, to be held in May 2023. During the National Science Fair, students across nation presented research-based projects in the categories of Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Engineering, Physics and Astronomy, Engineering Technology, Energy, Robotics and Intelligent Machines, Systems Software and Embedded Systems.
Winners of the National Science and Engineering Fair (NSEF) will be eligible to compete at the International Science and Engineering Fair, which will take place in May 2023 Regeneron’s ISEF.
Regeneron ISEF is the world’s largest science fair and the only global science competition for students in grades 9-12. In 2018, more than 1,700 young scientists from all across the world gathered to exchange ideas and knowledge, showcase cutting-edge science and compete for more than US$4 million in awards and scholarships. The next ISEF event will be held from May 12-17, 2023, in Dallas, Texas, USA.
Speaking on the Occasion of NSEF Award Ceremony, Dr. Human Baqai Rector MITE shared the institution`s commitment to inspire, encourage and support the next generation scientists. She further added that such platforms provide an exceptional opportunity to engage learners in research and foster scientific inquiry in them.
The Millennium Education and Millennium Institute of Technology and Entrepreneurship MiTE and TME have organized National Science Fair to furnish more opportunities to young Pakistanis in the areas of science and engineering. Such opportunities prepare young learners to become innovators and inventors of tomorrow. The focus on hands-on learning with the real world application helps to develop a variety of skill sets including creativity. MiTE is committed to inspiring the next generation of scientists and fostering a curiosity for science and technology. We believe that events like the National Science Fair for young learners play a crucial role in shaping the future of science and innovation.

- 10 students with their 7 projects were declared the Grand Winners at the National Science and Engineering Fair Pakistan, where students from all over Pakistan participated.
- Students selected from Pakistan will be eligible to participate in the 2023 Regeneron ISEF, which is held in the US every year, where more than 1,800 students from across the globe competed for USD 4 million in scholarships, prizes, and awards.
